Guided Fly Fishing in North Dakota

Cast Your Line.
Find Your Peace.

Scanning the shallows from the bow of the boat you spot it:  a northern pike, long and prehistoric, cutting through the murk.

You make the cast.  And if you pay attention, you can feel their heartbeat.

North Dakota just made perfect sense.

North Dakota

doesn't look like a fly fishing destination, until you're on the water.  Then it makes perfect sense.

We're a veteran-owned service putting anglers onto one of the country's most overlooked frontiers: the big, wild pike and musky waters of western North Dakota. Lake Tschida. Lake Sakakawea. Lake Audubon. These are working, breathing fisheries where the fish run big, the crowds stay thin, and the learning curve is the whole point.  Smallmouth Bass are trophy class, abundant in all 3 lakes and are often 18+ inches.

"A 3-pound fish on a bait casting rod and a 3-pound fish on a fly rod are two different fish." - Bob Bartz, Owner & Guide

People don't understand what it is until they do it.

New to Fly Fishing?

This is where you start. No experience required. We built this for people picking up a fly rod for the first time, and we'll meet you exactly where you are. From your first cast to your first fish, our beginner fly fishing guides are with you every step of the way.

Built for Veterans

We believe fly fishing is more than a hobby. The rhythm of a cast, the focus it demands, the stillness it creates.  There's something in this sport that reconnects people to themselves.

That's why we're especially proud to offer veteran fly fishing trips in western North Dakota, built specifically for the men and women who've served: patient, purposeful, and centered on the healing power of being outside with a rod in your hand.

You served, the fishing is on us.  Veterans fish free.

North Dakota is the Secret

No crowds. No pretense. Just open sky, cold water, and fish that will absolutely test you. If you've been told fly fishing belongs somewhere else — Montana, maybe, or Patagonia — we'd like to show you something different. The adventure you're looking for is already here.
